This is who we are.
The approximately 40 members of Lumsden and District Lions Club are part of a global community dedicated to community and humanitarian service. As a local representative for the world’s largest service Club organization, with over 1.4 million Lions in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries around the world, we are proud to serve the Lumsden and District area.

This is who we serve.
At the heart of Lions clubs is one constant: Service. Lions Clubs International empowers volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding. Lions know that giving time and energy is a gift to the community, but service is a gift you give yourself. It is our belief that acts of kindness start locally and spreads around the world.

Lumsden gets a new dog park
The Lumsden Lions are pleased to work with the Town of Lumsden to build the new Dog Park in town. The Dog Park is located behind the Lumsden and District Heritage Home on Broad Street. The perimeter fence is now in place and the gates will be installed in the spring. The Dog Park includes a small dog area and will have a walking path designed for pet owners to use while their dogs enjoy their off leash freedom. The Lions Club heard many comments from town residents about this need and we were pleased to be able to assist in making this a reality in our town. We trust everyone will treat this area as their own and take care of the park.
